3-501.17; Priority Foundation; Once original packages of hotdogs are opened, the date must be placed on the package. Hozardous foods can be kept up to a maximum of 7 days from opening package unless expiration date is prior to 7 days. Day 1 is the day the package is opened. Freezing stops the clock on the expiration of product and may be kept longer. Example: bag of hotdogs opened and half the bag is placed in the freezer. Once hotdogs are removed from the freezer, the date clock begins and it will be day #2.
