The free chlorine level of the swimming pool water was less then a 1ppm at the start of the inspection. Maintenance was able to shock the pool and after circulating, the free chlorine level is now 5ppm. Must be a minimum of 1ppm at all times of operation.

Pool Operator is not reporting to the pool daily-maintenance is providing the care for the pools operations. The pool operator is trained to properly operate the pool and must report each day of operation to provide all maintenance. They must also check and record daily pH, free chlorine, water temperature and main drain checks. Must also check and record weekly cyanuric acid levels and total alkalinity levels.

Rope on the ring buoy was too short in length and was 2 pieces tied together. The rope on the ring buoy must be 1 1/2 times the width of the pool based on size, it must also be one single rope that is securely attached. Maintenance was able to provide a new rope that was cut to the correct length and attached to the ring buoy.

Pucks of chlorine are being placed in the skimmer baskets and in the pool water itself to dissolve. The automatic erosion feeder was empty. Chlorine must enter the pool through the automatic chlorinator. Maintenance was able to get the lid off the chlorinator and place sticks of chlorine in it for proper disinfection.

The hot water in the restrooms at the hand sink was over 110F. Hot water for the shower and the restrooms for the pool should not be any warmer then 110F.

The ring buoy is showing wear and aging. It will need to be replaced once in bad repair.
The annual permit for the swimming pool expires on October 12th, 2023. Before a permit for operation after this expiration date can be issued, item number 5 (pool operator reporting daily), item number 7 (hole in pool wall) must be repaired and item number 12 (vacuum port cover).
The main drains have been changed to new compliant ones and a new drain safety data sheet has been completed by the operator. Permit Suspension is lifted and can now return to normal operation.

Issue resulting in permit suspension on 4-4-22 has been corrected. Motor has been corrected. Motor has been properly bonded by an electrician, an inspection by the Johnston County Building Inspections dept. was completed and approved on 8-1-22. Copper wire seen and attached to motor and all other apparatuses required by building insp. (Insp/Approval Attached). Pool is approved to reopen to bathers, Permit Suspension is lifted.
