None of the maid carts that were in use during the time of inspection had a sanitizer solution on them for use, no bottles of sanitizer solution were available. In the laundry room, there is a concentrated formula of Quaternary Ammonia sanitizer solution available for making of spray bottles. This sanitizer solution must be mixed to 200ppm. If going to use a chlorine based sanitizer, then concentration should be 50ppm. Provide adequate test strips for the sanitizer solution to check strength of mixture. A sanitizer solution should be used on the lavatories and lids to ice buckets in guest rooms.

General Comments
Facility is taking sausage patties and egg patties, portioning them and warming them in the microwave, then hot holding in a serving unit for guest of the hotel. Facility does not hold a valid food service permit from the Johnston County Health Department and therefor cannot handle potentially hazardous foods in the current manner of operation. Illegal food vendor notice issued. All handling, heating and serving of the meats and eggs must stop until a valid permit can be obtained. (919) 989-5180 for questions on obtaining a permit.
Hot water was 129 degrees F in one room on the 3rd floor. All other rooms were between 104-107 degrees F. Repair is being done on a plumbing issue. Will have it repaired by early afternoon.
