Hot water throughout the facility including in in patient rooms, baths, and shower rooms was 140F and up to 148F. This is a burn hazard and is unsafe. Check water temps frequently and maintain the hot water range in the 105-116F max range. Recommend around 110F or less in all patient access areas. Correct this issue as soon as possible.

Hot water was 111-116F throughout. Monitor hot water for temperatures above 116F. As outside temperatures change, adjustments to water heater may be required. Send a copy of the emergency water supply plan via email once director returns. Water supply on hand would not be enough backup water for current residents. Potty seats and shower benches in shared rooms must be disinfected between uses of different residents.
